	ACCREDITED BOWEN TECHNIQUE PRACTITIONERS This list is not a list of ECBS students, but a list of BTER members. ECBS has no connection or financial links to BTER in any way. This information is held as a public service to Bowen therapists and BTER. We endeavour to keep it as up to date as possible and corrections will be dealt with as soon as we can get to them. For a definitive listing please refer to the BTER website. In order to qualify for inclusion on this list, all therapists must have a qualification in The Bowen Technique, Anatomy and Physiology, (or equivalent other therapy), a current first aid certificate, professional indemnity insurance and have undertaken additional Bowen studies of at least 14 hours in the previous year. BTER is the largest and only independent Bowen therapists organisation in the world. It was founded in 1997 following demand from therapists for a move away from a closed and unaccountable association or "academy", towards an open and accountable organisation. Run voluntarily by Bowen practitioners, teachers of the Bowen technique are not permitted to occupy committee positions, thereby ensuring no conflict of interest. ECBS has no connection or financial dealings with BTER but fully supports its role and function.
	BTER exists to raise standards in The Bowen Technique and to support and represent Bowen therapists from many different training establishments who are suitably qualified . If you go to anyone practising or teaching the Bowen Technique,ask to see their BTER membership certificate, to ensure the highest standard of treatment or training available. BTER is open to ALL Bowen therapists from accredited schools and is not restricted to pupils of any one school or funded by any school or academy. Any school or Bowen Academy is invited to be approved by BTER simply by submitting details of their student and teacher training. Practitioner names are added to this list regularly.
