Bowned, Walenburg 85, 3328 EK Dordrecht, Netherlands
Karel had had a varied professional career being a social worker and a logistics manager. A lifelong sportsman, Karel established his own sports massage clinic graduating as a sports therapist in 2002 and later qualifying to teach sports massage. He has worked with a number of elite sportsmen and women.
It was while teaching that Karel came across The Bowen Technique. As a sports therapist he was particular impressed by the preventative nature of the Bowen Technique and the way the body is treated as a whole rather than concentrating on the presenting symptoms.
Karel trained as a Bowen practitioner with Hans Thijssen in 2003 and was invited to train as an ECBS teacher completing his Teacher Training in June 2007.
Karel has been running the ECBS office in Dordrecht, Holland with his partner, Petra since 1st January 2008.

Bowen Kliniken Syd, Falsterbovägen 32, 239 33 Skanör, Sweden
Born and raised in the southwest of Sweden in Falsterbo. Her dream had been to travel so after finishing High-school in Trelleborg did a 2 year Hotel Management school in Switzerland, Swiss Hospitality management School “ Cesar Ritz”. Completing the final year in Connecticut USA. At the age of 22 she completed her studies and continued traveling, working in Hotels and Restaurants in Austria, Germany, Spain and on a sailing ship over the Atlantic.
After living in Holland for a while she returned to Sweden to study classical Swedish massage at KMH in Malmö. After graduation she started her own highly successful massage business.
After seeing a presentation by Julian Baker during at KMH in Malmö she became interested in Bowen and started her Bowen studies in 2002. It sounded logical to her that the body can be help through self-healing, with the therapist only triggering the responses.
Her original reason for becoming a massage therapist was to help people and although successful, felt that there were limits with massage that were surpassed by Bowen. In addition the aspect of the work being less physically demanding was appealing
On her spare time she likes to go out walking with her boyfriend and their dog and skiing. Charlotte hopes to develop Bowen all over Sweden and eventually also Denmark. “Bowen has given me so much joy and the great effects never cease to amaze me. I wish to teach as many people as possible within the technique so I can share my positive feeling with The Bowen Technique.”

Haaleiti 17, 230 Keflavik, Iceland
I was born in Keflavík, Iceland, in the 1960s. As a child in a small fishing village in Iceland around that time I went to work very early, in fish plants, where I worked before and after school from 10 to 20 years old. I went to London to study music and was there fore few years, before returning to Iceland. From 1990 I have worked with people first as a counselor and then as a Cranio Sacral therapist after undertaking the training in 1995. I extended my Cranio Sacral work by helping to establish Cranio Sacral training in Iceland, and becoming a tutor.
I discovered The Bowen Technique in 2001 and organized the first course in Iceland. In 2003 I started teaching the technique and have seen it become very popular in a short space of time.
